Establishing a strong crop of winter rapeseed or sunflower starts with protecting the seed. «BARION, EN», produced by the «Fabryka Ahrokhimikativ» in Cherkasy, has become our go-to solution for early-season disease prevention. This systemic fungicide, specifically designed for seed treatment, is our primary barrier against root rots and downy mildew (peronosporosis).

Field performance and usability

The product is an emulsion, which makes it easy to work with in the field. We typically calibrate our seed treatment equipment to a dosage of 1–3 liters per ton, depending on the historical disease pressure of the field. Because it is a systemic agent based on Metalaxyl-M, it doesn't just sit on the seed coat; it penetrates and moves into the seedling, providing internal protection right when the plant is most vulnerable.
