Azoxystrobin synergy: how Amrit controls pathogens

The fungicide "Amrit" from Rangoli is a benchmark of strobilurin-based protection. The active ingredient, azoxystrobin, blocks mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells. In practical terms, this halts the energy exchange within the pathogen: spores fail to germinate, the mycelium stops developing, and the infection process is suppressed at the earliest stages.

Dual-vector action

The core technological advantage of Amrit lies in its combination of contact and systemic properties:

• Contact barrier: upon application, a protective "screen" is created on the leaf surface, preventing spores from anchoring and penetrating plant tissues.
• Systemic activity: the active ingredient moves acropetally, ensuring protection for untreated plant parts and new growth, which is critical for fast-growing crops like soybeans and sunflowers.

Practical application and dosage

The product comes as a suspension concentrate, providing optimal stability of the working solution and uniform distribution across leaf surfaces. The standard application rate is 0.5–1.0 l/ha, depending on the severity of the infection and the crop's growth stage.

To achieve maximum effect, agronomists should adhere to a pre-harvest interval (PHI) of 20–30 days, allowing the active ingredient to fully metabolize. The maximum number of applications is limited to 2–3 per season. This solution effectively halts the progression of alternaria, septoria, phomopsis, phoma, powdery mildew, and late blight on wheat, tomatoes, and oilseeds.
