Microbiological cocktail: the science behind the growth

The "Baikal EM" fertilizer, manufactured by the Zaporizhzhia-based companies "KARAVAN" and "KEDRONINVEST," relies on the synergy of four groups of microorganisms. Unlike traditional mineral fertilizers that act as a "quick fix," this product fundamentally changes the structure and biological activity of the soil environment.

The biological core

• Lactobacillus casei 21 and Lactococcus lactis 47: these lactobacilli are responsible for suppressing pathogenic microflora and accelerating the fermentation of organic residues, transforming them into accessible humus.
• Rhodopseudomonas palustris 108: unique photosynthetic bacteria that synthesize amino acids and growth-promoting substances, directly stimulating root system development.
• Saccharomyces cerevisiae 76: yeast that acts as a catalyst for enzyme production, ensuring the plant receives easily digestible nutrients.

This composition turns inactive soil into an active biocenosis. Through foliar application or root treatment, the crop gains not only a direct influx of nutrients but also a defense mechanism against fungal diseases due to the competitive displacement of harmful microflora.

Practical application for farmers

Regular use on vegetables, cereals, sunflowers, or corn leads to predictable, high-quality yields. By restoring soil microflora, the bioavailability of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium—often locked in soil compounds—is significantly improved. This results in higher yields and, crucially for market viability, better shelf life and appearance of the produce.
