The cucumber variety Arinara is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid developed by Dutch breeders of the company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is intended for cultivation exclusively under cover in spring and autumn rotations. The plant features a well-developed root system and vigorous growth, ensuring a stable and continuous harvest throughout the entire growing season. Arinara forms strong lateral branches and a balanced plant with high growth energy.
The fruits of the Arinara cucumber are elongated-cylindrical in shape, measuring 14 to 17 cm in length and weighing approximately 120 g. They have a dark green glossy color without light stripes, which remains even under hot conditions. The fruits are very uniform, do not deform or swell during the entire vegetation period. One to two fruits form in each internode, contributing to a high marketability yield, reaching 99%. The maturity period is 40-45 days, and the yield reaches 26.4 kg per square meter.
The Arinara variety exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including downy mildew (Ccu) and true powdery mildew (Px (ex Sf)), as well as moderate resistance to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and vein yellowing (CVYV). Thanks to these qualities and stable fruit formation, the Arinara cucumber is a reliable choice for long-term rotations and cultivation in hot climates.
