Description
The Claas Mega is a combine harvester (Mähdrescher) built on the DOMINATOR base platform. The series was introduced in 1993. The machine is based on the MEGA Dreschsystem (APS), which consists of a conventional threshing system combined with an accelerator featuring its own preliminary sieve separator.
As with other models in the series, the APS system was introduced in 1993. The accelerator increases material flow speed from 3 m/s to 20 m/s, with a flow speed gain of bis zu 33%. Up to 30% of grain is separated in the preliminary sieve separator. Throughput capacity increases by bis zu 30%.
The JAGUAR 695 MEGA variant marked a milestone in cab development.
