Description
The Claas Lexion 480 is a combine harvester presented in 1995 and introduced to the market in 1996. It is equipped with the APS HYBRID SYSTEM threshing system, combining the APS-Dreschsystem and ROTO PLUS.
The threshing system features a drum with a diameter of 600 mm. As with other models in the series, the Lexion 480 has a drum width of 1700 mm. The previous standard CLAAS drum diameter was 450 mm; the transition to the new system brought a throughput increase of around 20%. Separation is handled by two axial ROTO PLUS separators.
The machine is fitted with the CEBIS on-board computer and the LASER PILOT and GPS PILOT automatic guidance systems.
