B+H Solutions plans 1 million euro India push for nano-fertiliser expansion
German agtech firm B+H Solutions plans to invest 1 million euro in India in 2026 after securing an important regulatory registration for its nano products.

German agricultural technology company B+H Solutions GmbH plans to invest 1 million euro in India in 2026 as it tries to expand faster in a market where demand for metal-based nano-fertilisers is rising. The Hindu BusinessLine reported that the company operates in the country through its subsidiary Dr Heinisch Agro Solutions India Private Limited, incorporated in 2022, and that global sales reached 20 million euro in 2025.
General Manager and Chief Scientific Officer Laura Wieler said the company became more aggressive on investment after receiving a nano registration under India's Fertiliser Control Order framework. That approval has improved the path to expansion. Unlike conventional nitrogen products such as nano urea, B+H's portfolio is built around silver and copper nanoparticles and is positioned as a fertiliser plus concept that supports plant nutrition, strengthens the plant immune system and reduces disease pressure.
The company currently offers eight products in India. One of them is AgroBeize, developed specifically for Indian agriculture and combining silver and copper nanoparticles; it is also registered as a disinfectant. B+H recently secured FCO registration for AgroCopper, its nano copper product, and is now pursuing registration for nano iron. Wieler said Indian farmers have been more receptive to nanotechnology than farmers in Germany, where adoption usually requires a much longer process of persuasion.
Trials at ICAR Bangalore on tomatoes showed AgroBeize delivering 24 percent higher yield than conventional fungicides, along with better fruit quality and lower incidence of early and late blight. The company says its products can raise yields by as much as 30 percent across crops such as tomatoes, chillies, black pepper, pomegranates and flowers. Those trial results are central to its case for long-term growth in India.
B+H began operations in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka and is now expanding into Rajasthan. It sells through a mix of its own staff and distribution partners while continuing discussions with larger distributors. As scrutiny of nano inputs remains high, the company has also stressed that its patented metal-based technology is globally unique and supported by OECD studies that, according to the report, confirm safety for humans and the environment.
