To successfully cultivate this crop, a stable high humidity level is essential, ideally maintained between 70% and 80%. In home or greenhouse settings, providing adequate ventilation is crucial to prevent moisture accumulation in the leaf axils.

Lighting for Bolusiella talbotii must be intense yet diffused, as direct sunlight can cause burns on the tender leaf blades. East or west-facing windows with light shading are considered ideal.
