The Gyphentox group of compounds belongs to specific insecticidal agents whose action is aimed at disrupting biochemical processes in the nervous system of insects. These substances are potent inhibitors of key enzymes responsible for nerve impulse transmission, leading to rapid paralysis and subsequent death of the pest.
The mechanism of action is characterized by a systemic and contact effect. Upon contact with the cuticle or ingestion of treated plant parts, the active components of the group quickly penetrate into the insect's hemolymph, providing a so-called "knock-down effect" in the shortest possible time.
Unlike some other classes of insecticides, Gyphentox exhibits high stability on leaf surfaces, which ensures crop protection over an extended period. Resistance to rainfall washing makes them a reliable tool in intensive farming conditions.
The biological efficacy of this group's preparations is maintained at various temperature ranges, although the optimal result is achieved at an air temperature between +15 and +25 degrees Celsius. An important aspect is the lack of pronounced habituation when properly rotated with preparations of other chemical classes.
Preparations of the group contribute to a reduction in the pest population at all stages of their development, including adults and early instar larvae. This allows for effective control of insect population outbreaks in agroecosystems.

The scope of Gyphentox application covers the control of a wide complex of sucking and chewing insects that cause significant damage to agricultural crops.

- Thrips, which damage flower and vegetable crops
- Whitefly, a vector for dangerous viral diseases
- Bugs, including the sunn pest on grain crops
- Leaf-mining flies and other pests of ornamental and fruit crops
The main crops for application include cereals, corn, sugar beet, as well as vegetables in open and protected ground.
The preparations work effectively both in field applications and in intensive greenhouses, where high control over pests in a confined space is required.
Due to high selectivity of action, when used correctly, the preparations allow for the preservation of beneficial entomophage populations, which is critical for integrated pest management systems.
Rates and timing
Application rates vary depending on the species composition of pests and their density in the field. Standard dosages range from 0.15 to 0.5 liters (kilograms) per hectare of area.
The timing of treatments is determined by the results of phytosanitary monitoring. Spraying is recommended during the periods of mass larval emergence or upon reaching the economic threshold of damage for a specific insect species.
The volume of the working fluid should ensure complete and uniform coverage of the leaf surface. For field crops, this typically requires 200 to 400 liters of working solution per hectare.
It is important to consider the frequency of treatments per season, which is usually limited to two or three applications to avoid the development of insect resistance.
The interval between the last treatment and harvest must be strictly observed according to regulations established for specific crops, which guarantees product safety for the end consumer.
Restrictions
Application during periods of active bee foraging is prohibited, as the active ingredient has high toxicity to honeybees.
When working near water bodies, it is necessary to observe buffer zones to prevent the preparation from entering aquatic environments, which may cause the death of aquatic organisms.
All work must be performed using personal protective equipment for respiratory organs, skin, and mucous membranes, as the substances may cause irritation.
Mixing the preparation with highly alkaline components is prohibited, as this may lead to degradation of the active ingredient and a reduction in its efficacy.
Storage should be in original packaging in a cool, dry, and secure place, strictly following fire and environmental safety instructions.
