Mode of action

The primary mechanism of action is the inhibition of the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme. This enzyme is crucial for the synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids.

By blocking ALS, the herbicide interrupts the synthesis of valine, leucine, and isoleucine, which are vital for cell division and plant development.

Plant growth stops almost immediately upon exposure. Symptoms such as chlorosis and necrosis typically develop within the first week after application.

Total plant death usually occurs within two to four weeks, depending on the weed species and environmental conditions during application.

This active ingredient is designed to control a broad spectrum of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds in various agricultural settings.
