The Philippine mealybug (Pseudococcus philippinicus) is a small scale insect within the family Pseudococcidae. Adults are characterized by their soft bodies covered in a white, powdery wax secretion.

Female mealybugs are wingless and stay stationary while feeding, whereas the males are small, winged insects that do not feed and live only briefly to mate.

The young nymphs, known as "crawlers," are very mobile and serve as the dispersal stage of the species, moving to new, nutrient-rich parts of the host plant.
