The immature stage, known as crawlers, consists of highly mobile, microscopic nymphs. This is the primary stage responsible for the dispersal of the pest across plants and between greenhouses.
These insects are phloem feeders, using their specialized piercing-sucking mouthparts to extract vital sap from their host plants, which weakens the plant over time.
