This reproductive strategy allows a single female to infect a host caterpillar and produce a large number of descendants, effectively suppressing the pest population within a localized area.

Identifying adult Litomastix in the field is challenging due to their size. Farmers and agronomists usually identify their presence through the health status and developmental state of caterpillar colonies.

What it damages
