Fin whale

The fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) is a marine mammal belonging to the order Artiodactyla and the family Balaenopteridae. It is recognized as the second-largest animal on Earth.

Physically, the fin whale is distinguished by its sleek body and a unique coloration pattern, where the lower right jaw is white and the left side is dark grey. They can grow up to 27 meters in length.

The biology of this species is exclusively adapted to marine environments, where they feed by filtering large volumes of seawater to catch krill and small school fish.

It is biologically impossible for this species to act as a plant pest, as they do not inhabit terrestrial environments, nor do they consume vegetation or agricultural crops.

In agricultural science, the fin whale is not classified as a pest. Any report identifying this marine mammal as a crop threat is scientifically incorrect and lacks any factual basis in agronomy.
