Tractive Effort and Transmission Design

At the heart of the Zubr Z-16 lies a liquid-cooled diesel engine, designed to deliver constant torque under heavy loads. Unlike gasoline alternatives, this engine excels in long-term operation at lower RPMs, which is essential for deep tilling in heavy clay soils. The cast-iron gearbox housing reduces vibrations effectively, while the gear drive ensures high mechanical efficiency when transmitting power to the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft.

Control Systems and Off-Road Capability

The ergonomics of the Z-16 are focused on the precise control of a heavy-duty machine in rugged field conditions. The steering column, adjustable in height and angle, allows the operator to walk alongside the furrow, preventing soil compaction. The differential lock enables the machine to turn in place, a critical feature for confined spaces or when maneuvering with a plow.
