Acramite is formulated with bifenazate (480 g/L), an active ingredient that fundamentally differs from traditional broad-spectrum insecticides. It acts as a selective mitochondrial electron transport inhibitor. This mechanism specifically targets the respiratory chain of tetranychid mites, ensuring high efficacy against all mobile stages—larvae, nymphs, and adults. This unique biochemical target provides a robust "knockdown" effect combined with long-lasting residual control of up to 21 days.

Technical Advantages of the Formulation

• Selective Toxicity: Unlike non-selective agents, bifenazate shows high selectivity towards phytophagous mites, preserving populations of beneficial predatory mites and insects. This makes Acramite a critical component in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs for pome fruits, grapes, and soybeans.
• Formulation Stability: The suspension concentrate (SC) formulation provides optimal adhesion to leaf surfaces. Its contact action remains stable even under fluctuating temperature conditions, offering reliable control where other acaricides might lose efficacy.
• Rapid Cessation of Feeding: The compound is rapidly absorbed into the leaf cuticle. Upon contact, mites stop feeding almost immediately, preventing further damage to the photosynthetic tissue and preserving plant vigor.

Application and Practical Considerations

To achieve peak performance, thorough coverage of the leaf canopy—particularly the underside where colonies thrive—is essential. With a usage rate of 0.15–0.2 L/ha, Acramite effectively manages red spider mites and brown fruit mites. The application protocol limits the product to one spray per season to prevent resistance development. With a short pre-harvest interval (PHI) of only 3 days, Acramite offers the flexibility required for modern intensive horticulture and vegetable production.
