The «UNI-FLU 250» fungicide utilizes flutriafol (250 g/L) as its active ingredient, a cornerstone of the triazole chemical class. Its primary technical advantage is its pronounced systemic activity and high speed of translocation via the plant’s xylem. Unlike contact-only products, flutriafol rapidly penetrates plant tissues and redistributes throughout the crop, ensuring protection even for areas missed by the spray equipment during application.

Why Suspension Concentrate (SC)?

The SC formulation is a deliberate technical choice designed for stability and efficiency. Fine particles of the active ingredient are dispersed in water to form a uniform emulsion, which provides:

• Consistent suspension: preventing nozzle clogging and ensuring uniform delivery;
• Optimal adhesion: high retention rates on the leaf surface, which minimizes wash-off;
• Prolonged bioavailability: the compound remains active within the plant structure, providing a solid barrier against secondary infection.

Application and Pathogen Control

Flutriafol operates by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis within fungal cells, causing the pathogen’s cell membranes to collapse. This mode of action is highly effective against a broad spectrum of diseases:

• Cereals: Septoria, powdery mildew, and Fusarium head blight;
• Industrial crops: Anthracnose and Cercospora (sugar beet), and various leaf spots (sunflower, soybean).

The application rate of 0.5–1.0 L/ha allows for tailored responses depending on the current disease pressure in the field. Given the limit of one application per season, the product is best utilized during periods of active growth or at the first sign of disease onset. With a hazard class of 3, the product is manageable for standard commercial farming operations provided that mandatory personal protective equipment is utilized.
