Claas Rollant

Field experience: working with the Claas Rollant

When it comes to haylage or straw baling, the Claas Rollant isn't just another piece of equipment—it's a reliable partner during the peak of the harvest season.

Operations and fuel efficiency

The first thing you notice with the Rollant is the predictability of the bales. The fixed chamber design ensures that bale density remains consistent, even when dealing with inconsistent windrows. Regarding power consumption, the machine is highly efficient; it doesn't struggle under heavy loads, and the rotor feeding system is designed to keep moving, which significantly reduces downtime.

Maintenance and repairability

One of the biggest advantages is the accessibility of all major components. Claas clearly designed these machines with the field operator in mind. Lubrication systems are straightforward, and wear-prone parts are easy to service or replace. If you keep up with the maintenance of the chains and tensioners, critical failures are extremely rare. While parts can be a premium, their availability through the dealer network means you are never stuck in the field for long.

Operator comfort

Working with the Rollant is low-stress. The interface is intuitive, providing all necessary data without overloading the operator with useless information. It’s a machine built to handle the workload efficiently, allowing the operator to focus on the job at hand.

• Consistent bale density in every run.
• Easy access to key maintenance points.
• Proven durability even under intensive field conditions.
