Berthoud Tracker

Field Performance: A Reliability Benchmark

Operating a Berthoud Tracker shifts your perspective on what a field sprayer should be. It is not about fancy touchscreens or excessive sensors that fail when it rains; it is about mechanical resilience. Over several seasons of heavy-duty operation, the Tracker has proven to be a straightforward, predictable machine that keeps working when others are in the workshop.

Service and Maintenance

The standout feature is the accessibility of all service points. Berthoud’s engineers clearly spent time thinking about the operator. Whether you need to grease pivot points or inspect the filtration system, you are not wrestling with the machine.

Dynamics and Application Precision

The boom stability is excellent. Even on rough headlands or uneven terrain, the geometry keeps the spray pattern consistent, which is key to saving on chemicals and avoiding crop damage. Working at 10-12 km/h feels comfortable, and the liquid distribution system is precise enough to prevent double-spraying at the turns. It is a trailed unit, so pair it with a tractor that has enough weight and torque to handle a full tank on soft ground.

• Durability: Minimal fatigue on structural welds and moving parts.
• Maintenance: Quick and easy nozzle cleaning and filter access.
• Efficiency: High-pressure consistency thanks to the Volumex pump.

Owner’s Verdict

The Berthoud Tracker is for those who value long-term ROI over trendy features. It requires regular rinsing and standard seal checks, but in return, it offers consistent application rates season after season. It is a no-nonsense tool that performs exactly as promised: reliable, easy to fix, and highly efficient in the field.
