Description

Symptoms

The most prominent sign is the development of rusty-brown or yellowish pustules on the underside of the fern fronds (leaves).

Early symptoms include small chlorotic spots on the upper surface of the leaves that often go unnoticed by growers until infection progresses.

As the disease matures, these spots turn into powdery spore masses that can easily be dispersed by contact or airflow.

Severe infections lead to significant necrosis of leaf tissue, causing the fronds to curl, turn brown, and eventually wither away.
