The culture requires a tropical climate with minimal temperature fluctuations. Ideal growth occurs at temperatures ranging between +24°C and +30°C. The tree is intolerant of frost and does not thrive in areas with pronounced cool seasons.

Regarding soil requirements, the tree demands deep, fertile, and well-drained soil. It is particularly sensitive to waterlogging, necessitating excellent soil structure to prevent root rot in humid conditions. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH is generally preferred.
