Potentilla haynaldiana

Regarding its requirements, the species demands excellent drainage and high light intensity. It is not suitable for typical agricultural fields but thrives in conditions that mimic alpine environments with poor, gravelly, and well-aerated substrates.

Climatically, it is highly cold-hardy, capable of surviving harsh mountain winters. However, the species is sensitive to high humidity and waterlogging, which often leads to root rot if the substrate remains saturated for an extended period.

While not a traditional food or fiber crop, it is of scientific interest and serves as a unique element for specialized rock gardens. Its cultivation relies on precise moisture control and a specific light regimen to maintain its natural compact growth habit.
