Growing requirements
This hybrid belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It is a unique ornamental crop that combines the robust, drought-tolerant nature of Sansevieria with the elegant leaf patterns characteristic of Dracaena surculosa.
The plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Placing it in direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf scorching, while very low light levels may lead to etiolation and loss of leaf markings.
Optimal growth is achieved at temperatures between 18°C and 26°C. It is important to keep the plant away from cold drafts and direct heating sources which dry out the air excessively.
A well-draining potting medium is essential. A mixture of peat-based compost, perlite, and coarse sand provides the necessary aeration for healthy root development and prevents moisture stagnation.
Watering should be carried out only when the top few centimeters of the substrate are dry. During the dormant winter phase, the water supply should be significantly reduced to match the plant's metabolic slow-down.
